Banda is a railway station in the city of Banda located in the district of Banda, Uttar Pradesh.  The station falls under north central railway zone and it is administered by Jhansi division of Indian railways system. The station belongs to "A category" railway station under Jhansi railway division. The station is equipped with almost all of the basic necessities facilities.

There are total 3 railway platforms with 4 railway tracks function at the station. There is a total of almost 31 trains halt at eth station on an everyday basis. The station is also home to one train that originates and terminates as well at this station. There are trains connecting the city with several other stations of different Indian states via the rail transportation system.

The station connects the Banda district with several other cities as the train's form these cities halt at Banda Junction railway station. Kalinjar means the "destroyer of Time" of victory over death.  It is said that when Lord Shiva drank all of the poison after The "Sagar-Manthan" his neck turned out blue. Then he came to this place and got victory over death form that time the place came to known as kalinjar. The temple at this place is known as "Neelkanth". There are many temples and fort parts are there at this place. The fortress city of Kalinjar is built strategically which had been a major place of war for the different dynasties right form 10th century till the time of British rule over India. One of the most important places to visit in the city of Banda!

Khajuraho - Series of Temple monuments.-  located just beside the Kalinjar in the city of Chhatrapur Khajuraho group of temples are the most visited places near Banda city. The group of the temple is enlisted in a world heritage site by UNESCO. The temple is famous for Nagara-style architecture and also the sculptures engraved on its outer wall. There are many historians, researchers, students and another group of people visit this temple. The temple and its architecture attract visitors across the universe. It is said that the group of the temple was built during the time Chandela Dynasty and at that time it was a group of almost 85 temples. As of now, only 20 temples have survived and now it is under conservation system of UNESCO. The temples were built at the same time still one can spot the differences in the structures and deities of the temple. The group of temples represents the Hindu and Jain temple and deities. This is a perfect blend of social harmony and also it shows the tolerance and harmony of different religions at that time.
