Cuddaloreport port railway station is a major railway station serving the city of Cuddaloreport with the Indian railway system located in the state of Tamil Nadu. The station is operated by southern railway zone. The station is administered under the care of Trichi railway division of Indian railways. The station falls on the main railway lines of Chennai-Tanjuvar railway line. Thus the station serves Chennai Egmore – Kumbhakonam-Tanjuvar mainline and Virudhachalam–Cuddaloreport branch line.

The port railway junction has been built to connect the coastal area of the city to connect with different regions of India. Nearest airport is located in Chennai at the distance of almost 160 kilometers from the city that’s why the station becomes the crucial bridge to connect the city with different parts of Tamil Nadu and other parts of India.

There are total 4 platforms, 5 railway tracks functioning on this station. The station is fully electrified. There are not much amenities are available for the passengers at the station but the station takes care of all the basic facilities in the station premises.
