NORTH EAST EXPRESS (12505): Train Route, Classes and Journey Details

North East Express (12505) is a superfast train which runs between Guwahati and New Delhi. The train departs from its source place Kamakhya at 10:00 on first day and terminates at its destination Anand Vihar Terminal at 19:20 on second day. The distance between the Guwahati and New Delhi is about 1,866 kms. The train takes 35 hr 33 min to complete two days of journey. The train halts at almost 29 stations and finally reaches to its destination Anand Vihar Terminal. The train operates per day in a week which means train is schedule on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. It has carriage classes of second AC (2A), third AC (3A), and sleeper class (SL). The average speed of train is 56 km/ph. The train runs with the facility of pantry car which provide food in train. Train Route Details of North East Express (12505)
The train starts its journey by departing Guwahati station at 09:45 to reach its destination at New Delhi. The train covers 16 stations in its first day of journey and 12 stations in its second day journey and there are many intermediate stations en route. The minimum halt timing of train is 1 minute and the maximum halt timing is 25 minutes. Patna Junction is the single train halt for 25 minutes which is the longest halting time in the entire journey.

You can board the train after having delicious breakfast as it gets depart by 09:45 in the morning. After departing from source station the train halts at third station at New Bongaigaon where it halts for 10 minutes. You can order food in train at New Bongaigaon station in advance for your lunch because the train will halt for a minute or two for next four stations and halts at New Jalpaiguri for 15 minutes at 17:00. Katihar Junction is another railways station where train halts for 20 minutes at 20:50 in first day only.
