Faizabad railway station is a railway junction located in the town of Faizabad. Faizabad is a city located in the district of Faizabad near about 130 kilometers from the capital city of Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow. The city is located on the banks of Saryu River (now known as "Ghaghra"), so the Ramayana epic Rishi Valmiki's ashram is also located in the district of Faizabad.
