It is easy to order food online in train from RailRestro. Visit our website or download our mobile app from Google Play Store (for Android version) or IOS App store (for I-phone version). The food ordering process is simple. Just enter the 10-digit PNR number; the website will redirect you to the next page where the passenger has to select their boarding station. Once the boarding station is selected, the interface will display the station name with the partner restaurant and its food menu. Select the food items to order and add them to cart. The interface will redirect you to the payment page where options like Debit Card/Credit Card/Internet Banking/Paytm/ Freecharge/PayUMoney are available for payment. Select our payment method and place your order. You will receive order confirmation SMS and email for the same. It’s all set! You will receive your order on your berth.

No. There is no booking fee for ordering food from RailRestro. But, a minimum delivery charge is applicable for some locations. It might vary.

No, Delivery of food is absolutely free. We deliver the food without any delivery charge.

RailRestro offers the passengers a choice of preferred mode of payment while placing orders. Conveniently, one can choose to pay via online options via Credit card (Visa/MasterCard/Diners/American Express), Debit Card (MasterCard/Visa/Rupay/Maestro), Internet banking from all banks and digital wallets like Paytm, PayUmoney and Mobikwik. You can also choose to pay via Cash on Delivery (COD). Your order will be delivered to your seat and you can pay the exact amount directly to the delivery executive.
TIP: Keep exact change with you. This makes the delivery process faster because there’re many stations where halt timings are less than five minutes. 

NO! IRCTC through its press release has conspicuously announced that no delivery executive is entitled to tip/delivery fee for food delivery in train. RailRestro suggests you not to pay any extra amount other than the pre-agreed price.

Ordering on www.railrestro.com is available 24x7x365. If u choose to order by phone, you can reach our food advisers at 8102 888 111 any day between 7 A.M & 10 P.M. You can order your food via Watsapp on the same number.

You can place food order in advance via RailRestro. Just visit the website, select the date when you want to order food and continue with the ordering process. You can choose to pay online, in advance, or via Cash on Delivery (COD). However, if you’re ordering food for group journey, then 40% of the payment has to be paid electronically in advance and the rest amount will be paid to the delivery person. Passengers can order food for train journey from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM every day. Order online or call the customer care number 8102202203. Place your breakfast order from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM and then order for lunch and dinner. Check the options by entering PNR number and order your dinner in advance.

The time of delivery depends on the actual train running status. Railrestro tracks train in real time and coordinates with the restaurant to make sure that you receive the food ordered by you at your seat when the train stops at the station u have selected.Please note that the restaurant will deliver the food to you. As you can understand Railrestro is not responsible for the delays or scheduling of the Indian railway.We all wish trains run on time always.

You can cancel your order till one hour before the scheduled arrival of the train where your food is to be delivered. Call our customer support executives at 8102202203 and our team of digital food advisors will be happy to help you. For prepaid orders there is an administrative fee of 10% for cancellation up to 24 hours before the delivery time, and 25% for cancellation up to one hour before the delivery time. Sorry, the credit card companies charge us twice: once for getting your order paid and second for refunding you in case of cancellation. Your money will be refunded in 5-7 working days.

We track your train running status to make sure we can deliver you hot & fresh food at your seat. In case your train is delayed by more than 2 hours, our customer care executive will call to confirm if you are still interested in receiving your order. In case your train is scheduled to reach the delivery station beyond restaurant operational timings (usually 7 A.M. to 10 P.M), your order will be automatically cancelled and our customer service executive will contact you.

Yes! Whether it’s the Daal Baati Churma of Rajasthan, Kachoris of Jaipur or the litti chokha of Patna, every regional/local food can be delivered at your seat during train journey. With RailRestro, you can order regional choices while traveling by train.

It might happen that you’re crossing through a low network coverage area and your order can’t get complete. In case you have received confirmation SMS, your order is booked. If you did not receive the order confirmation SMS, your transaction did not complete and order is not placed. You need to place the order again either online or call our food advisors at 8102202203 to assist you to complete your order.

Yes! We’re just a call away! Dial 8102202203 and place your food order. The customer care executive will ask for your PNR number to check the train running status after which you can place your order for your desired station.

We don't share your personal details (phone number and email id) with the delivery restaurants. However, we may use your number/mail id to send you promotional offers about RailRestro. We take security measures/precautions seriously to keep your personal information secure. We have electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard the information we collect. However, due to the open communication nature of the internet, RailRestro cannot guarantee that communication between you and RailRestro or information stored on RailRestro servers will be free from unauthorized access by third parties.

We are open 365 days and available from 7 AM to 10 PM every day. RailRestro is always ready for your train food booking needs on the mentioned time.

Select the tab “Group Order” and you will be redirected to an inquiry form. Fill up the fields in the form in details like Name, Mobile number, email ID and the bulk order query. Mention the 10 digit PNR number in the message. Once you complete the form and hit the “Send Enquiry” button, you can relax and just wait for our food advisor to contact you. Also, one can call the customer care and enquire about the group food order for future date of journey.  

The word e-catering means electronic catering through which passengers can order their food online and get it delivered on their seats within a few clicks. The process is completely online. Once the passenger confirms his/her order, the process of food delivery begins. It’s a stepwise process mentioned below:

Step 1: In the first stage the order is received by the RailRestro.
Step 2: The Backend team cross-checks the orders by confirming the PNR number or train number, location and seat number of the passenger.
Step 3: After verifying passenger’s detail, the order is accepted to proceed further.
Step 4: RailRestro sends order notification to the restaurant partners of that particular station. Another notification is sent to the customer to inform them that their order is accepted to deliver. After receiving the order details from the e-catering partners, the restaurant verifies the order by calling the customer about the order.
Step 5: The food is prepared in a hygienic condition and packed.
Step 6: Order is sent out for delivery by the delivery person.

Yes! Irrespective of any mail/express/superfast express, any passenger can order food online in train having a valid 10-digit PNR number. After entering the PNR number, one can check the food options and order easily within a few clicks. Remember! No food can be ordered on unreserved tickets either booked by PRS counters or via UTS app.   

Yes! Passengers can order food even if the ticket is not confirmed. The option is available in every type of trains. However, delivery can only be done when the ticket is confirmed. Tickets with RAC status can also be used for booking tickets. However, one should be present at their seat at the time of delivering the food order.

Yes! A variety of food items are available in the menu like Indian, Chinese, Gujarati, Rajasthani, local specialties, combo meals, Veg Thali/Non-veg Thali, Jain food, customized meals, starters, soup, sweets, beverage and accompaniments. You will have an option to choose and order among various cuisines.

Passengers traveling in train can order their food in a minimum time of 50 minutes before the train reaches the station. For eg., if your train is at Patna Junction ( 10 am in the morning) and you need food in Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhaya Junction (stoppage time 2:00PM), then the passengers can order any time between 10 am to 2 pm, but within a minimum time of 50 minutes which means maximum by 1:00 pm.

In such case, call our executives and check whether the order is placed or not. Due to mobile network issues, there can be delay in receiving the order confirmation message. DO NOT WORRY! There’s 100% probability that the order is placed from RailRestro’s end and will be delivered at your berth.  

Yes! You are entitled for an invoice for the food you have ordered. Ask the food delivery executive for the same.
