Madgaon locally pronounced as “Margaon” is a railway junction is a major railway network of Western Railway Line serving the city Mudgaon, Goa. The railway junction is located on southwestern railway’s line between Vasco-De-Gama and the Konkan Railway.
The railway junction is operated by Konkan Railways under the administration of Karwar railway division. The station has four platforms with 8 train track. The station is equipped with all facilities such as railway wifi facility, parking facility and other means of comforts. There are waiting halls, retiring rooms, refreshment stalls etc are also made available for the passengers at Mudgaon Railway Junction.
The station serves two major railway lines on its way and connects the trains by allowing passing through it. These two railway sections/lines are Gunatakal-Vasco-De-Gama Section and Konkan Railway’s Maharashtra to Mangalore railway line. The station Mudgaon is well connected with several cities of India by different the trains. There are a number of trains pass thorough the Mudgaon junction railway station which connects the place with rest of the Indian cities.
