Vidisha railway station is located in the city of Vidisha located in the district of Vidisha in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. The station is the major railway station serving the district with all the railway transportation services. The station is operated by western central railways and administer under Bhopal railway division of Indian railways. The station falls on Delhi-Mumbai and Delhi-Chennai mainline. The station is located at a distance of 54 kilometers from Bhopal.
The station is well connected with the major cities of India by Indian trains. There are trains for Kolkata, New Delhi, Bangalore, Patna, Ranchi, Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Chhattisgarh, Guwahati, Punjab, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. About Vidisha City
Vidisha is a major historic city of India lying in Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. The city is very close by the capital city of Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal. The city has undergone many changes in its political changes previously the city was known as Belasanagar. Afterwards, the city renamed as Vidisha. It also said that the construction of Sanchi Stupa was also a reason of the king’s love for his queen Devi and Vidisha Town.

- Lohangi Pir – This is a construction containing tomb of the Sufi saint locally called “Lohangi Pir”.
- Uday Giri – This place is located at a distance of 79 kilometers from Vidisha town. The place has 20 caves mixed with the sculptures of Hindu and Jain cultures. There are a number of people come here to see the rock cuts and caves.
- Sanchi Stupa – It is one of the grand temples of Lord Buddha. The monastery of India is located very nearby the town of Vidisha. There are many temples, monuments and sculptures are engraved at the place.
