Wainganga Express – 12251: Train overview:
Wainganga Express is a bi-weekly train that starts from the railway station of Yashvantpur on every Tuesday and Friday night around 23:40 Hrs. The train departs the railway station of Yashvantpur junction on the day one of its journey and reaches at the destination on the 3rd day terminating its journey at Korba Junction railway station.
Yashvantpur and Korba, both of these places are located at a distance of 1615 kilometers away from each other. Yashvantpur Railway station is one of the major railway stations of Banglore serving the passengers coming or departing this town by railway route. On the other hand side, Korba railway station is located in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh serving the Korba district with the railway transportation facilities.
The train takes almost 29 hours (maximum) to reach Korba from Banglore. The train is equipped with all the onboard facilities such as toilets, bedrolls, AC and Non-AC coaches, electric charging points and fans. The train doesn’t house the pantry car; therefore, the passengers are advised to order food in train from Railrestro, An IRCTC e-catering service providing great food items in the train. The train starts from the Yashvantpur Railway station from Banglore by 23:40 hrs in the night only on Tuesday and Friday in a week. After leaving the yashvantpur station premises, the train stops at the distance of 187 kilometers away from origin place at the station of Dharmavaram junction. At Dharamavaram junction, the train stops for 2 minutes marking its first railway halt en route.
The train stops at only 2 more railway halts during its overnight journey after Dharmavaram junction. The train majorly stops at the stations of Kachiguda Junction, Gondia Junction, Raipur junction and Bilaspur junction en its route for a longer duration (more than 10 minutes to 15 minutes). Though the train has 23 halting railway stations en route, from Banglore to Korba but the train stops for 2 to 5 minutes at rest of the stations except these railway stations. Marking its last railway halt en route, the train stops at Champa Junction for 5 minutes, on the 3rd day of the journey.
