Saurashtra Mail: Train Overview
Saurashtra Express runs from the sea-port town of Okha to the glittering town of Mumbai everyday. The train interconnects the district of Dwaraka particularly the city of Okha, to Mumbai, The capital town of Maharashtra. The train starts from the railway station of Okha every day by 13:10 Hrs and terminates at the station of Mumbai Central by 07:10 Hrs in the morning.
The train takes almost 18 hours to reach the station of Mumbai from Okha railway station completing its journey of 991 Kilometers. The train is equipped with all the major facilities to be provided to the passengers while journeying. Onboard facilities include electric charging point, Bedrolls, washroom, AC and electric fans in the coach. The train has the 1st AC coach, 2nd AC coach, 3rd AC coach, and sleeper coaches along with the unreserved coaches. The passengers can reserve their train tickets in any of these coaches according to the travel preferences or comfort level.
The passengers can book their train tickets on the training maximum of 120 days in advance of the scheduled journey. The tarin provides all of the onboard facilities except Pantry Car. The trains start from the Okha railway station which is located in the state of Gujarat every day by 13:10 Hrs. The train halts first at the station of Mithapur for 2 minutes completing its journey of 10 Kilometers from the origin station. The train halts at almost 29 railway stations en route from Okha to Mumbai. At most of the stations, the train doesn't halt more than 5 minutes however at some of the important stations, the train stops for a longer duration. While commuting from Gujarat to Maharashtra, the train majorly stops at the railway stations of Jamnagar, Rajkot junction, Ahmadabad junction Vadodara junction, Navsari Railway station, and Borivali Railway station. The train stops at these stations for a longer duration. The train passes by the location of Gujarat and Maharashtra yet the passengers can see the beauty of en-route areas from the train. The train reaches at the Borivali railway stations around 6'o clock in the morning on the 2n day of the journey and halts for 5 minutes. The train now moves towards its destination and terminates at Mumbai central railway station by 07:10 hrs in the morning.
